Learn to Remove duplicate entries in a table in MS Excel

There are many instances where you need to remove duplicate entries in an Excel sheet .If you have a few entries you can check manually one by one , but if you have thousands of entries in a column (or Row) then manual checking is not a practical way of doing it .

This tip will show you an easy way to remove duplicates in an Excel sheet .

We have a table with some fruits and their quantities.

We have deliberately created some duplicate entries as highlighted below .

Now in order to remove the duplicates ,Select the columns in which you wish to remove duplicates (Columns A and B)

Click on "Data" and click on "Remove Duplicates " button

You wll get a window as below ,Click on "OK"

Yo will see that that the duplicate entries have been removed and you will get a confirmation pop up with the details as below .

This is the easiest way to remove duplicates in a row or a column if you have a huge data . You ca do it with just one click .
